Heyo Peeps!

Hello! This is Peter Darkmap, Crink’s YouTube account! Crink decided to create me an account on here for… I don’t exactly know. (That’s Crink speaking) The first thing Crink wanted me to do was to post a sneak peek/chapter 1 of: The Life of Peter Darkmap, like Crink did for Autofficer Crinklegadget? So enjoy!

Chapter 1: The Entrance to Aethesia

I stepped out of the machine and looked around the area. It was kind of purplish and had four crafting tables. There was a staircase to what seemed to be a library. There was only one person in view. He was at a crafting table, and looked somewhat like Santa Claus. 

“Hello? Mister?” I called to him. He jumped up, surprised.

“Oh hello young lad. What can I do for you?” He answered. I can’t put my finger on it. He seemed to have an… *interesting* accent.

“For one, can you tell me where I am? Also, who are you?”

“Well young lad, I’m Lukas and this is my workshop. How did you get in here?”

“My name is Peter Darkmap. I don’t know how I got here but when I ‘woke up’, I was in that machine.” I pointed to the machine I stepped out of. It was in the middle of the room, with spinny things on the top. 

“WHAT DID YOU SAY!? YOU CAME IN THE AETHERSTEP!?” So that was what that was. A person came into the workshop from the entrance.

“You okay Lukas? Also, who is that?” he said, pointing to me. He was wearing a top hat that was frozen, a gas mask, and a blue suit that said, The Engineer’s Watch. Lukas was still shocked and fainted. The person gave him some purple liquid from an object. “He’ll be ok. So what’s your name?”

“My name is Peter Darkmap. I have so many questions. One, who are you? Two, what does that do?” I pointed to the machine Lukas called an Aetherstep. “Three, can you tell me where in the world I am?”

“Answer number one. My name is Dathmaul Crinklegadget. Answer number two. That right there is an Aetherstep and it can transport you from almost anywhere. There are more across, answer number three, Aethesia. I am with the resistance. I can tell you more about it. Would you like to come with me?” I nodded. “Alright. Hold my shoulder.” I held on. He held used the same device that the liquid was in and pressed a button. Everything went black, and I was in an Aetherstep, that name just felt funky, but in a different place. I was in a mountain, it seemed. There was a laboratory and plans for various stuff everywhere.

“Sorry about the mess, Peter. Right now, you’re in the Old Mount, where the Great Engineer created Aethesia. Not exactly here, but I can show you where. This is one of his laboratories. Would you like some biscuits and tea?” I nodded yes. I felt more relaxed. I’ve always liked engineering, and there were plans everywhere. He led me to a table, poured some tea into two cups, one was for me, and put a few biscuits on my plate. He sighed. “I feel like I’m an old man. At least the Scarlet Man does this.”

“Alright Dathmaul. Who is the Scarlet Man, The Great Engineer, and what is the resistance?”

“First, call me Crink. Or Darth. Second, I will answer this after I ask you, why aren’t you worried about going to wherever your home is?” Why did he have to ask that?

“My parents died when I was a kid. Some people gave me food and stuff but didn’t take me in. I was homeless. Then, after a few years, I’m here. I have no idea why, but I’m here. I’m thinking, maybe the resistance will take me in. So I have something better to do than just wait for food and be miserable.”

“Okay. I’m sorry about your parents. The Great Engineer is the creator of Aethesia. He just told it what to be, and it was. Then, someone named Lucky took over Aethesia. He put fog here. People think it’s good, but it just brings chaos and evil. The Scarlet Man started a resistance to bring back Aethesia to its former glory. The liquid you saw me use on Lukas is called Aether. Aether was the thing that powered all of Aethesia, it even was there before it was created! So I think that’s enough for now. You don’t have to make the choice now, or even ever, but think about joining the resistance.”

“I already made up my mind. This Lucky guy sounds evil, and it would be an honor to help bring back Aethesia. I’m in.”
